The status of my best before date
food
Due to my student lifestyle, and my total lack of really bothering
to actually cook anything decent to eat, I have decided to setup
a webpage where I can monitor what is in my food stores (see below).
I would estimate that about 40% of the food I buy is reduced food,
(which, although you have eat within the hour or store in liquid
nitrogen, is actually amazing value for money!). This means, that
if I forget to eat a meal, or eat something else for a few days,
then the food just sits there maturing.

The paper feels a bit crusty, and I can
hear stuff when I shake it

Probably need a spell in a nuclear reactor
before eating

My food stock status
I have 4 basic areas where I keep food. These photos will show
you the status of each of these areas, and how much storage space
I have available. I haven't included the freezer, as no one in
our house really knows which food is whose, and that food is all
years out of date... so I eat fresh food.

The status of my food stocks
Everyone has essentials that they know they always need to know
the levels of, well this is the same with me. One day I will invent
an auto logging thing, but for now I will just try and keep this
page kinda up to date, then I can look here before I come home,
and judge whether I need to buy something.

This was popular with
my dad on hoiliday, its ok as a morning tea |
|
|
This tea is SO smokey,
and as a result I'm the only one that drinks/smokes it. Amazing
chillout tea! |
|
|
Quite herby. I'd have
this during the middle of the day... if I wasn't so addicted
to the Lapsung tea!! |
|
|
I've been away quite
a lot, but the marg has survived. Should be ok till Uni |
|
|
After having 3 stir-frys in a row,
this stock is looking depleated |
|
|
I bought some Ready Brek, and the
OneStop only had expensive bread. But hey. The plates have
1/3s of strawberry steam puds - spread over a few days, very
efficient |
|
|
I'm trying to cut down on sugar
content with my diet. So this is taking aaggeess to go! -
even with throwing most of it over the kitchen! |
|
|
When I bought them months ago,
I said they should last till I got back to Uni... well there
is only a week left, and I have 7 left! |
|
|
Can't afford roast or chop.. so
this isn't used... apart with a bit of mince the other week |
|
|
I kinda have a honey addiction.
I have a honey for every possible mood! I LOVE BEES!! |
